Client Testimonial
“You can hire someone to do a product how-to video, you can do an animated video, or you can work with an agency and do another type of product how-to video,” said Beth Straeten, National Gypsum’s Marketing Communications Manager. “And with Jason, it was the best of both worlds… I knew I needed to connect with architects – a very visual audience – and we needed to make the video interesting.”

Project Description
These construction hangers are products which will be never seen once the project is completed. Even though they will be invisible forever they really are beautifully designed. I wanted to capture the inherent functional beauty of these devices while making this animated video which demonstrates how they work and why they are so useful.
When marketing a product that exists because of how it works, or how it is installed, an animation like this is priceless.
Without them, you are either showing boring cad details, ugly jobsite photos or you’re just talking.
This is a way to shut up and just show them.

The Trac-Loc framing system is a new idea, and for this product introduction video, we used 3d animation to demonstrate what it is, how it used and why it is innovative. With products like this, the installation procedure isn’t just an afterthought, it is the whole unique selling proposition. 3d animations demonstrate that fact clearly.

I’m particularly proud of this video. The product is a simulated stone product in which each unit is different and geometrically complex. After years of working on a way to capture, and simulate this sort of complexity in a 3d photorealistic model, I finally feel like I have got it right.
With products like this, the selling point isn’t just the final look, the selling point is the installation process. Without a video like this, that selling point is very hard to communicate.

This concealed lintel system is pretty hard to describe using just words. Once you watch the video, you can see that the product really isn’t that complex, it’s rather elegant. The client also added a little bit of marketing messaging in the video as well. This is a good example of how a 3d animated installation video, really can be a sales tool.
